Any flat garment drawing — hand-sketched, photographed, or digital. Add a known measurement to anchor scale.
Pick garment type, fit, and stitch structure — Jersey, Half Cardigan, Full Cardigan, Rib and more. Add designer notes in plain language.
Every measurement comes flagged High, Medium, or Low confidence — so you always know exactly what to double-check before it goes to a factory. Edit any value inline, then export the full POM spec to Excel in one click — sketch embedded.
Why this exists
I'm a knitwear designer — I've worked across fashion brands and global supply chains, and I've sent more spec sheets back for corrections than I can count. Most of those corrections weren't because anyone got it wrong; they were because the brief left too much room to read it differently. KnitSpec is the tool I wished existed: a fast, structured starting point that's honest about what it's sure of and what still needs your eye.
— Built and run by one person. Say hi if you have questions before you sign up.
20 spec sheets included on every account — no credit card required.
It gets you most of the way there fast. Every measurement is flagged High, Medium, or Low confidence, so you know exactly which ones to double-check or remeasure before sending. Think of it as a strong first draft from someone who's done this a thousand times — not a replacement for your final review.
They're yours. Sketches are used only to generate your spec sheet and aren't shared or sold. You can delete a spec from your library at any time.
1 credit = 1 spec sheet generated. Credits never expire, the first 20 are free with no card required, and you can top up or subscribe whenever you actually need more.
Email me directly — I read everything. It's early days, and real feedback from people actually using it shapes what gets built next.
Stop doing spec sheets by hand.
