1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using KnitSpec ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

KnitSpec is an AI-powered tool that generates knitwear measurement specifications from uploaded garment sketches. The Service is intended to assist knitwear designers and technicians as a starting point for spec creation.

3. Disclaimer of Accuracy

KnitSpec uses artificial intelligence to generate measurement specifications. These specifications are provided as a starting point only and may contain errors or inaccuracies. All generated specs must be reviewed and verified by a qualified knitwear technician before use in sampling, production, or any commercial purpose. KnitSpec accepts no liability for errors in AI-generated specifications or any losses arising from their use.

4. Credits and Payments

The Service operates on a credit system. Credits are purchased through Stripe and are non-refundable once used. Unused credits do not expire but are tied to your account and are non-transferable. Pricing may change at any time with reasonable notice.

5. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree not to share your account with others or use the Service in a way that violates these terms or any applicable law.

6. Intellectual Property

Sketches and images you upload remain your property. KnitSpec does not claim ownership of your uploaded content. You grant KnitSpec a limited licence to process your content solely for the purpose of generating specifications.

7. Uploaded Content & Image Rights

By uploading images or sketches to KnitSpec, you confirm that you own the content or have the right to use it, and that doing so does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights. KnitSpec accepts no liability for content uploaded in violation of third-party rights. We reserve the right to remove any content that we believe infringes on third-party rights.

8. Prohibited Use

You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose, to reverse engineer or attempt to extract the underlying AI models, or to resell or redistribute generated specifications as a standalone product without significant added value.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, KnitSpec shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for credits in the three months preceding any claim.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States.
